PICT / PICF
Transparent engineering plastic that raises impact strength and durability with flexible CHDM, aimed at ABS, PC and Tritan.
PICT is a transparent, high-Tg polyester built on isosorbide. Adding flexible CHDM to the PEIT chain raises impact strength, and with it durability, which is what makes it suitable for the parts made from ABS, PC and Tritan today. An isosorbide share of 40 to 60% of total diols was found optimal to mimic ABS.
